Dreaded Island Fever

This is the unavoidable result of going to Hedo and having the time of your life. It is characterized by an overwhelming obsession to return as soon as possible. This is also the only known cure.

Symptoms include:
Realization that the real world is not nearly as much fun as you just experienced.
Checking Hedonism related message boards 20 times a day to relive your vacation or someone else's.
Financial ruin while trying to save enough money to return as often as possible.
Long periods of daydreaming while remembering your vacation.
Your symptoms may vary but the result is the same - addiction to the Hedo experience.

Jamaica is 4244 square miles with a population of 2.5 million people. 235 kilometers long and 93 kilometers at the widest point, the island of Jamaica is the third largest in the Caribbean Sea. Jamaica is a land of mountains, plateaus and plains, dominated by a series of mountain ranges that run across the center of the island. Almost half the island is above 300 meters, and the highest point, Blue Mountain Peak, rises 2,256 meters (7400 ft.) above sea level. Many of Jamaica's 120 rivers originate in these highlands, watering the land on their way to the Caribbean Sea.

The main cities are Kingston (capital city) and Montego Bay.  Kingston is convenient if your destination is the capital city, the Blue Mountains or Port Antonio. Montego Bay is the "main" tourist airport and is convenient if your destination is Montego Bay, Negril, Tryall, Runaway Bay and Ocho Rios.

The Political status is an Independent Nation member of British Commonwealth.

The language spoken is English, although most Jamaicans speak a local patois influenced by a combination of several different languages.

Jamaicans celebrate New Year's Day (January 1), Labor Day (May 23), Emancipation Day (August 1), Independence Day (August 6), Christmas Day (Dec 25) and Boxing Day (Dec 26), in addition to Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Easter Monday, and Heroes Day (third Monday in October).
